Prices at local gasoline pumps continue their slow, steady rise.
The average retail price of gas in Sacramento rose 2.1 cents to $3.13 a gallon over the past week, according to data released Monday by SactoGasPrices.com, a GasBuddy.com website. That was 13.4 cents higher than one year ago and 5.6 cents higher than last month.
Prices have fluctuated since the July Fourth weekend, but have been on an upward climb recently. However, relief may be on the way.
