For the first time in weeks, local gasoline prices actually declined.
The average retail price of gas in Sacramento fell 0.2 cents a gallon to $3.91 over the past week, according to today's weekly report issued by SactoGasPrices.com, a GasBuddy.com website.
The slight decrease came after local prices rose nearly 40 cents a gallon over the previous three weeks. The latest average was still 86.8 cents per gallon higher than one year ago and up 39.6 cents from last month.
